They probably won’t like it the first time, maybe even not the second, third or fourth. Think about how little you like a song the first few times you hear it. But then as you are exposed more, you learn to love it.
It can take chidlren up to 20 exposures to a certain food to like it. It may take them multiple times to even be comfortable enough with it to try it. So be PATIENT! Keep putting it on their plate. If they will allow it on their plate you are doing well. If they touch it…GREAT! in a few months they may even try it. It was three years before my oldest daughter even tried broccoli and now she jumps for joy in the grocery store when she sees it and begs me to buy it.
ok here’s your first recipe…my kids are literally obsessed (as am I). They go back for seconds and thirds…no joke
Steam broccoli for about 5 minutes or until desired consistency. Let cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and then sprinkle on garlic powder and parsley.
Good eating habits are formed early on. Children learn how to eat from watching us, their parents. We are their role models so practice what you preach. If you want your children to eat fruits and vegetables…guess what???? You have to eat them too!!! Stay tuned for some really delicious recipes that you will not be able to resist.
